Most of us who could ride were able to acquire
a horse. We looked like 'Sundowners'.
I occupied my leisure hours wandering through the bush investigating
the area, trying to see as many new animals as I could. There were
many small tree-dwelling creatures that looked a lot like our
Opossum in size, but with pink nose and ears. Iguanas averaging
three to five foot long, flying squirrels, flying fox and a great
variety of birds. |
