At 251100I patrol #15 reached mine area in vic of San Tiago and
reported field in poor shape. Off limits signs were posted both in
English and Visayen. Patrol scattered surrender leaflets along route.
Approx 200 enemy were observed in all. Patrol made an attempt to have
Japs surrender but was unsuccessful. Patrol was ordered to return and
not take up the mine field because of it being too dangerous to do so. |
