Bill Delich was stationed at Searchlight #1 and on the night that MacArthur departed, Bill managed to throw the spotlight upon him. In his later years, Bill revisited Corregidor every year, and he was widely loved by all those living on the island. Eulogy by Al McGrew |

Each year we have a get-together on Corregidor where we can indulge in our mutual interests. It's not an organised tour, just a bunch of people "as crazy as we are" coming together for two weeks of discovery. The big news of the 2001 trip is the finding of the WWII Parachute Canopy. We've met every year since 1999 through 2006 but it's been difficult to write a series of articles....and 2001 was especially important because of the canopy... |
