Although called a "Spanish Cannon", this gun was originally built by
by Armstrong & Co. in England. The Spanish had acquired a
numberof guns from Armstrong and Krupp and deployed them to their
outposts in Cuba and the Philippines.
This gun has survived, and is currently on display at Ft. San
Antonio Abad, which
is inside the Central Bank compound along Roxas Blvd. The
cannon shows some damage caused by machine gun fire and shell
splinters.
