BATTERY MARSHALL

Broken right gun.

To destroy the guns at capture, their recoil cylinders were drained of oil. Sandbags were placed in the muzzles and the guns were fired with full charges. The 14-inch gun jumped from its carriage with the breech resting against the rear of the turret.
