"THE 501 THANKSGIVING MENU, 1941"

 On 20 October 1942, the 501st P.I.B., minus its "C" Company, boarded the Dutch tub Poelau Laut, and sailed off into the vast expanse of the Pacific, destination unknown. The men of the "Parachute Battalion" were not happy to be placed with lesser mortals.
