That's
me on the right, with Don Abbott. In late October 1944, I
took a 5 man patrol from Hill 395, which we'd held for a couple of weeks. We killed
three Japs who'd set up an ambush along the Nabu-Inasi trail. Back at out
rainforest camp at Kamari, Don holds a Nambu
LMG, and I hold a
trophy Arisaka.
